There are several advantages to using our TST Monitor software. It provides:

Simple entry of student information makes the entire process flow smoothly. The information entered here is automatically placed at the top of all forms. We even build the address for mailing notifications to the parents and this address information shows up in a windowed envelope.

You may even mark a student record as inactive or transfer that student to another school. For security reasons, you will only be able to see students listed at your school.

What you see on the screen and what comes out of your printer are nearly identical forms. On the screen, buttons provide access to related forms as they are needed. A return button allows you to return to any previously accessed form. You can navigate forward or backward through dozens of complex forms or add a page or a multipage form to the print list. Items may be printed immediately or just listed for later output. The buttons that are visible on the screen disappear when a form is printed.

TST Monitor looks at your school calendar and automatically calculates all dates for you. If you want to change the date, TST Monitor will not erase your changes. The software knows if you did not attend school for the full week or if the TST Team is not meeting on that particular day.

When it comes time for the weekly Teacher Support Team meeting, TST Monitor shows how easy life can be with intuitive software. The agenda is automatically generated and is sorted by tier and teacher. Students are listed alphabetically and you control the time allowed for Tier II or Tier III discussions. You may even change the amount of time allowed for a particular student or allow for a lunch hour or other break. (That part about getting an entire hour for lunch was funny. What educator ever got that?)

The students last name may be entered or selected from a drop-down menu. Once the last name is selected, only first names that match that last name will appear in the drop-down menu for the first name. You may limit the view to active or inactive students. You can only view students from your own school.

This screen also allows the entry of new students, duplication of student information (for a new school year), deleting a student and other related items. There is also a link to the School Calendar (which you may edit) and the preferences screen.

Techno Nerds Only:
One of the problems with computer programs that track student information is that a third party (which allows limited Internet access) controls it. Your computer must be connected to the district's server, which must be connected to the Internet, which must access an internet database at a remote location. We have taken a different approach. This software resides on the district server and is accessible simply by connecting to that server. That makes access very fast and removes links in the chain that slow down your work.

We provide a FileMaker license for the server and one user copy for each school. (Additional copies are available for a very small fee.) We license the software in your name and place the database on your server. We keep your copies of the FileMaker software and the TST Tracking software up to date.

And this is the most important item: if a staff member has an idea that we agree will improve the handling of the Three Tier Process, we will incorporate that change in an update.  We will also provide technical support when it is needed and help you set up all of the software.
